5TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL MUSIC CONFERENCE & SHOWCASE FESTIVAL FOCUSING ON THE MUSIC OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE AND THE CZECH DIASPORA.

Our partner organizations are: Katowice City of Gardens (Poland), Amity Civic Association / World Music From Slovakia, Hangvető Zenei Terjesztő Társulás (Hungary). Starting in 2018, the international programme will be extended by a guest country and the music of the Czech diaspora.

    Musicians from different countries will present high-quality music that overlaps the genres of world music, folk, jazz and new acoustic music at showcase concerts for experts and guests from all over the world. Experts will award the best band the Czech Music Crossroads Award. Starting in 2018, Czech Music Crossroads will include the Electronic Mission section devoted to electronic music.

    The event includes a conference with presentations and panel discussions attended by experts from all over the world, interactive workshops focused on practical advice to musicians, and speed dating, i.e. the possibility of personally meeting experts who will advise you on your strategy and further development of your art.
    Czech Music Crossroads is an event open to musicians, promoters, festival organisers, music journalists and the general public.

    ELECTRONIC MISSION

    The platform is intended for domestic and foreign professionals on the electronic music scene and includes discussions, experience sharing and presentations of local progressive electronic music which has the potential to become international or has already done so.

    In 2015, the Colours of Ostrava Festival made it to the Best Major Festivals shortlist within the European Festival Awards and was awarded the Superbrands 2015. In 2016 The Guardian ranked it among the top 10 European festivals.

    Czech Music Crossroads festival will take place at Hllubina in the historical post-industrial area of Ostrava, Dolní Vítkovice. Once called the Iron Heart of Europe, Ostrava offers an excellent setting for this event.
