    Musicians from different countries will present high-quality music that overlaps the genres of world music, folk, jazz and new acoustic music at showcase concerts for experts and guests from all over the world. Experts will award the best band the Czech Music Crossroads Award.

    The event includes a conference with presentations and panel discussions attended by experts from all over the world, interactive workshops focused on practical advice to musicians, and speed dating, i.e. the possibility of personally meeting experts who will advise you on your strategy and further development of your art.
    Czech Music Crossroads is an event open to musicians, promoters, festival organisers, music journalists and the general public.

    Short but focused pre-planned meetings, known as speed dating, are a common part of international conferences like Womex or Babel Med and Crossroads presents this unique tool for the first time to it’s guests.

    Czech Music Crossroads festival will take place at Hllubina in the historical post-industrial area of Ostrava, Dolní Vítkovice. Once called the Iron Heart of Europe, Ostrava offers an excellent setting for this event.
