Jacopo Tomatis
An editor for the Italian music magazine Il giornale della musica since 2008.

He’s currently responsible for the jazz, pop and folk-world music sections of its website, www.giornaledellamusica.it.

In addition to his career as a music jornalist, he is adjunct professor in Popular Music at the University of Torino. He received his PhD in Music in 2016, with a thesis on the history of popular music in Italy, and has published several chapters and academic articles on this subject in English, French and Italian.

He’s the artistic director of the Premio Nazionale Città di Loano per la Musica Tradizionale Italiana, Italian most important award and festival for traditional music.
