Sabina Schebrak was born in Innsbruck and lives in Vienna, Austria. Originally trained as a language teacher and translator, she worked for many years as a cultural manager, networker, and lecturer in the fields of communication, arts factories, and international exchange. During her years as head of communication and international relations at WUK cultural centre in Vienna, she organized numerous international exchange projects and small multidisciplinary festivals and was an active board member of Trans Europe Halles, the European network of Independent Cultural Centres. In 2003 she followed her longtime musical passion and founded CultureWorks, a booking agency for exquisite sounds between Contemporary Folk, Jazz and expressive Chamber Music, dedicated to touring and concert production in Europe and beyond. In 2013/14 Sabina also worked as curator for World Music & Jazz at Mica-Music Austria, the Austrian Music Information Center.
