Marián Pavúk

In 1992, Maroš Pavúk opened the multi-genre club Bombura in Slovak city Brezno, in a former liquor factory, which the communists took from his grandfather.

Since 1995, he has been organizing Slovenské alternatívne leto Festival, winter festival the Ďumbierfest, the Horehronie Jazz Days and other regular events.

Thanks to him, many past, present and future art legends have performed in Brezno and Slovakia. Let’s mention just a few names like Grandmothers Of Invention (Frank Zappa’s musicians), Adrian Belew, Pat Mastelotto, Marián Varga, Plastic People of the Universe, Värttinä, Andrej Šeban, David Kollar, Fedor Frešo, Bez ladu a skladu, Vladimír Mišík & Etc., Teatr novogo fronta…

He is also the chairman of the regional club of the Parkinson Slovakia Company in Banská Bystrica.
