Eniko Szabo and Orchestra spice up Hungary’s musical palette. Eniko who completed her studies as folk-singer showed her talents performing with such well-known artists as Kálmán Balogh cimbal, Elemer Balazs Group, Ökrös Band ,The Military Art Ensemble, Bela Agoston, the Tabulatura Ancient Music Ensemble, Pearly Clouds and with Gary Lucas.
Debut album (Skirts in the dust, Tom-Tom Records, 2014), consists of folk and folk-inspired songs with masterly orchestrated authentic folk instruments such as the violin, the viola, dulcimer but also guitar and percussion and double- bass = captivating atmosphere of this unique music both interesting for folk music funs and those that like modern urban songs.
The album includes original compositions and traditional folk song arrangements- listening it can recall the Eniko Szabo and Orhestra live gigs` unparalleled atmosphere, which is the real strength of the band.
They love to play live and therefore on their concerts anyone can experience the exceptional moods, but beware: once one hears it can easily become addicted! The band’s album launch concert was at the Museum of Ethnography, Budapest and in several rural locations in addition they also performed in France and Croatia.
